Chic Parisian Flat
Glamour is the name of the game for this gorgeous flat in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. For our first international project, we went all out with our client's favorite jewel tones, lush materials, and statement light fixtures. The wall between the kitchen and dining/living room was removed to create an American-inspired “open concept”, the trim was painted black to add contrast to the previously all-white walls, and the wood floors were re-stained to tone down the yellowed oak. Throughout the home, bold colors took center stage with a deep turquoise office/guest quarters and rich sapphire with silver enchant the master bedroom for a luxurious look. In the kitchen, our client had the great idea of adding a bench at the end of the new waterfall countertop, which allowed us to create a mini Parisian-inspired bistro vignette. In the main living space of the home, our client's only must-have was two custom velvet fuchsia sofas in the living room, so from there we mixed in fun prints in turquoises and purples for a rich, layered atmosphere. Amazingly, almost everything was sourced from the U.S. and shipped over to Paris. We ended our Parisian project with a fun-filled trip to Paris where we sourced fabulous accessories to personalize the overall design.
Willow Glen Charmer
A cheery yellow front door is just the start of this happy family home in Willow Glen. RICCO STYLE was hired to put the finishing touches on this fresh remodel, so we started with a colorful rug and went from there! Ship lap was added to highlight the custom entry bench area as well as the 3-sided fireplace separating the dining room from the living room. After that, the sofa, accent tables, arm chairs, lamps, and accessories were added to finish the look. We think this design is a great example of how to have fun with color while still being totally livable.
Stanford Net-Zero Energy
RICCO STYLE was honored to collaborate with Bone Structure architects to create one of the first all-steel, net-zero energy structures in California for a Stanford professor of Energy. Our role was to design the finished look of the home and source all of those finishes for the builders so that the home would be move-in ready. The materials we selected included the stone, tile, wood floors, hardware, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, siding, paint, doors, and cabinetry. We especially love the horizontal grain, walnut, frameless interior doors - they are absolutely stunning and add a very special quality to an otherwise ordinary object. You can see more photos of the mechanics of the home and learn more about the energy-conserving technology by visiting this project on Bone Structure's website: https://bonestructure.ca/en/portfolio/project-15-580/
Los Altos Hills Haven
What do you get when you mix historic mediterranean architecture with beautiful Persian rugs and edgy furnishings? A remarkably glamorous and welcoming space to come home to. The light plaster walls and dark wood ceilings of the home were the perfect backdrop for us to achieve the task of designing around the client's collection of exquisite Persian rugs. We added richly colored and textured furnishings that really highlighted the beauty in each unique rug. The wall art that was chosen for this space was the final touch to create an intriguing and joyous experience throughout the home.
Almaden Hills Delight
The young homeowners of this Almaden Hills estate, along with their pup and beautiful new baby girl, were up for the challenge of designing their new space with a little help from RICCO STYLE. What they ended up with was a beautiful and inviting home for their growing family. Mixing contemporary lines with elegant and comfortable furnishings was the basis for the design of this home. We helped them choose the finish materials like flooring, cabinetry, stone, tile, paint colors, plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures. We added lots of great artwork and a few accessories to complete the look.
Adventurous Family Home
This couple has traveled the world and wanted to incorporate their adventurous spirit in the design of their home. A lot of work was done to get the home to a more modern "blank slate" state that we could build the design on, but once we got there, the fun began! In each room we started with a neutral base and then added layers of color, texture, and modern shapes. Lucky for us, they had tons of stunning photos from their travels that we were able to use on the walls. JC was commissioned to create a custom painting for them to go above their navy blue sofa.
This design plan reflects our client's elegant, yet warm style sensibilities with rich textures and refined accents. A subtle and soothing color palette was chosen to enhance the connection between the rooms of the home. These clients prefer to work with RICCO STYLE on a consultation level from project to project, and we are happy to oblige.
This colorful, bohemian home in San Jose pays homage to the resident's Indian heritage while still reflecting their modern lifestyle. These clients were very hands-on and were very involved in every part of the design plan. JC and Victoria had a lot of fun sourcing one-of-a-kind items from artisans from around the world. JC drew the golden Tree of Life mural in the library, drawing inspiration from a book of contemporary Indian interior design borrowed from the client's library.
Believe it or not, this San Jose condo originally had lime green paint on the walls when our client purchased it. He was of course eager for us to create a more livable, beautiful space, but did not have strong preferences for what he wanted to see. So, JC and Victoria cultivated a sophisticated and contemporary design plan for him, perfect for entertaining and relaxing.
Plenty Shades of Grey
It may not look like it, but this residence is home to a few young children! These Los Gatos clients desired an elegant and refined space to entertain in, and they also needed it to be very family friendly. Our design plan for this home combined solutions for the "kids stuff" as well as beautifully designed spaces just for adult entertaining.
Well Traveled Bachelor Pad
This Campbell bachelor pad is the perfect reflection of the owner's masculine and stylish personality. We had a lot of fun putting together a legacy gallery wall of his family's athletic memories along with his own rugby photos and accomplishments. Like many of our projects, this design plan mixes pieces the client already owns with new ones to complete the look.
